the Artist
Margaret Hall Hoybach
Margaret Hall Hoybach received her B.A. from the
University of Maryland School of Fine Arts in 1966 and took advanced
studies at the University of California at Davis. More than thirty
years of worldwide travels inspire her impressionistic watercolors.
Hoybach's works have been shown throughout the United States as
well as in England and France.
A lecturer at universities, colleges, museums and
to professional organizations, Hoybach conducts workshops throughout
the United States and Europe. The Artistry of Margaret Hall Hoybach,
her educational television series on painting, is produced and shown
in the Washington, D.C. area. She portrays the floral and wildlife
beauty of another world-famous garden in her book, A Watercolor
Journey through Charleston's Magnolia Plantations and Its Gardens.
Hoybach and her husband live near Charleston, South Carolina.
